{"id":863,"date":"2012-12-05T17:12:02","date_gmt":"2012-12-05T22:12:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sylvansportblog.com\/?p=375"},"modified":"2017-05-05T16:14:45","modified_gmt":"2017-05-05T21:14:45","slug":"2012-christmas-parade-in-brevard-nc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sylvansport.com\/2012-christmas-parade-in-brevard-nc\/","title":{"rendered":"2012 Christmas Parade in Brevard, NC!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Every year, our hometown of <a title=\"Heart of Brevard\" href=\"https:\/\/brevardnc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Brevard, NC<\/a>, holds a <a title=\"Twilight Tour\" href=\"https:\/\/brevardnc.org\/twilight-tour-2012\/\" target=\"_blank\">Twilight Tour<\/a> festival. What makes this festival unique over the several others held throughout the year, is that this one is considered to be the &#8220;local&#8217;s festival&#8221;. Instead of streets filled with vendors and crafts, there are games, activities, people catching up from last year, and stores are open late, serving hot drinks and snacks. It actually has more of a gathering feel than a festival. Like any good party, everything gets kicked off with a parade. Local businesses, high school marching bands, non-profit groups, and a couple of just random folks all start one end of town at <a title=\"Brevard High School\" href=\"https:\/\/bhs.tcsnc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Brevard High School<\/a> and travel 2 miles, right through downtown, and finish at <a title=\"Brevard College\" href=\"https:\/\/www.brevard.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Brevard College<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been a couple of years, but <a title=\"SylvanSport\" href=\"https:\/\/sylvansport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">SylvanSport<\/a> was there this year with a full train of 3 GO <a title=\"Pop Up Camper\" href=\"https:\/\/sylvansport.com\/camper\/pop-up-camper\/\" target=\"_blank\">pop up camper<\/a>,\u00a0pulled by a Subaru Outback (on loan from <a title=\"Prestige Subaru\" href=\"https:\/\/www.prestigesubaru.com\/tcd\/home\/?tcdkwid=18241870&amp;tcdcmpid=14417&amp;tcdadid=4682883833\" target=\"_blank\">Prestige Subaru<\/a>). It was an impressive sight for sure. The first GO was a <a title=\"kayak trailer\" href=\"https:\/\/sylvansport.com\/camper\/kayak-trailer\/\" target=\"_blank\">kayak trailer<\/a>, carrying 2 kayaks and a trailer full of gear boxes. The second acted as an <a title=\"ATV camper\" href=\"https:\/\/sylvansport.com\/activities\/atv\/\" target=\"_blank\">ATV camper<\/a>, complete with a Kawasaki 4-wheeler. Finally we had a fully set-up <a title=\"pop up travel trailer\" href=\"https:\/\/sylvansport.com\/camper\/pop-up-travel-trailer\/\" target=\"_blank\">pop up travel trailer<\/a> decked out with 4 bikes on top.
