Antonio Rudiger is already taking no prisoners at as he snapped into a crunching tackle with during training.
Hazard was left on the ground in pain as Rudiger caught his former Chelsea teammate on the left ankle.
The incident left several Madrid players with their hands on their heads as Rudiger went over to check on Hazard.
The 31-year-old started just seven games in La Liga last season due to an ijury to his right ankle which required surgery.
Rudiger, meanwhile, arrived at Madrid this summer after leaving Chelsea on a free transfer.
Speaking earlier this week, Hazard insisted this week that he is out to prove his worth at Madrid.
‘I want to show people that I can play in this club,’ Hazard told ESPN.
‘It’s been a few seasons that I was not playing that much, so for me … I just want to show what I can do on the pitch, that’s my only target.
‘It’s been three years [which have been] hard for me, so I’m just focused on this season. I still have a contract after two more years, and then we’ll see.
‘In two years I’m going to be 33, so let’s see what can happen.’
