are monitoring Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley following his impressive form since moving to Parkhead.
The 21-year-old joined the Bhoys for a fee of £1.5m from MK Dons last January but his progress has been rapid since moving north of the border.
O’Riley’s scored four times and provided five assists in 25 appearances for Celtic, which has caught United’s eye.
Erik ten Hag has signed Christian Eriksen and so far this summer but the Dutchman feels he needs further reinforcements in midfield following the departures of , and Andreas Pereira.
And the Manchester Evening News say that United have added O’Riley to their watchlist and are keeping a close eye on the midfielder’s progress.
Though a move is not said to be in the offing just yet, O’Riley’s progress has been rapid and his profile could rocket if he impresses in the Champions League group stages for the Bhoys.
United are likely to conclude their transfer business by the addition of Ajax winger Antony.
The Brazilian has agreed a five-year deal with the Red Devils after United agreed a £85m fee with Ajax.
Ten Hag had hoped to sign a right-back and another midfielder but Antony’s arrival will take the club’s spending past £210m.
