And with millions of fans tuning in around the globe, the players are undoubtedly the stars of the show despite .

But exactly which players are rewarded the most handsomely for displaying their world-class abilities on the pitch week in, week out?

Let’s take a look at the top five highest-earning players in the Premier League.

Kevin De Bruyne – £425,000

’s brilliant Belgian playmaker is the best-paid player in the Premier League.

The 31 year-old has collected four Premier League titles during his time in England and he has established himself as one of the greatest players of all time in the competition’s history.

When he negotiated a new contract with the club in April 2021, De Bruyne commissioned data analysts to demonstrate his worth to City in a successful attempt to convince his employers to give him a pay rise from his previous £350,000-a-week salary.

Erling Haaland – £402,250

Haaland has since joining Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022.

The Norwegian goal machine has and his Premier League tally has seen him smash the record for the in the competition.

The 22 year-old has even been by manager Pep Guardiola and he will be crucial to City’s hopes of in the final few weeks of the season.

David De Gea – £402,250

Despite his 2022/23 season being , De Gea has also kept more clean sheets than any other Premier League goalkeeper this season to justify his joint-second highest salary in English football.

The Spanish shot stopper joined Manchester United in 2011 and has since established himself as one of the all-time Premier League greats, winning the competition in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season in charge in 2012/13.

De Gea, 32, is out of contract this summer but at Old Trafford.

Mohamed Salah – £373,750

Salah has written himself into Liverpudlian folklore since joining the club from Roma in 2017.

The Egyptian has scored more Premier League goals than any other player in Liverpool’s history and he played a central part in their dominant title winning season of 2019/20.

Salah, who has scored at least 30 goals in four different seasons during his time on Merseyside, became the best-paid player in Liverpool’s history when he signed a new contract in the summer of 2022.

Jadon Sancho – £373,750

The talented Englishman has struggled for form since moving to Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund for £72 million in 2021.

Such has been his decline in form, Sancho was left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the World Cup in Qatar.

However, Sancho has seen his time at Old Trafford disrupted by struggles with his physical and mental health, with ten Hag having in an attempt to get the best out of the 23 year-old.
