Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Manchester United’s push to get a permanent manager at the start of the 2022/2023 season looks set to suffer a major setback after it was revealed RB Leipzig are targeting Erik ten Hag.
The Dutch manager has been identified as the favourite to take over from Ralf Rangnick at the end of the current campaign after holding talks with the Manchester United board.
RB Leipzig opened talks with the Ajax coach weeks ago and has now offered a bank-busting contract in order to hijack the manager from Manchester United.
The Bundesliga club are of the opinion Erik ten Hag can transform RB Leipzig into title contenders and challenge the likes of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund for the league title.
